Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Wilkes-Barre, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amโ€“9 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Wilkes-Barre is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Wilkes-Barre follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Update to below review: another visit with the same results. The food is excellent. The Nan is some of the best I've had. There doesn't appear to be, the normal, what can I get you to drink? We have X, Y and Z. Could I interest you in a mango lassie? It's a self sufficient experience with the service non existent. Earbuds and cellphones being the priority. First review below: The food is great. Getting a glass of water is another story. I get it, that the service people during a buffet may not get great tips. But if the lady is sitting there on her phone, and you have been out of water for 20 minutes, there is no excuse. I literally, just got up and took two glasses up to the waitress station, to fill my own water. She never batted an eye. I still left a small tip of two dollars. Had the service been reasonably good the tip would have been 30%. If it was excellent 50%. I'll not sure why a manager or restaurant owner would permit this type of service. It definitely effects a customers desire to return.

Menu says the samosa chaat comes with 2 samosas, but my to-go order was mostly chickpeas with what looked like only one crushed samosa and no dahi, so it tasted more like chana than samosa chaat. I called, and they said the kitchen confirmed there were two samosas, but based on what I received (and the photo I took), I donโ€™t believe that was the case. Very disappointing. I appreciate the apology and offer, but I think youโ€™re misunderstanding my concern. That photo was taken immediately after opening the container. I had not eaten a โ€œsingle biteโ€ You said you checked with the kitchen and confirmed there were 2 samosas, but Iโ€™m genuinely asking: where are the 2 samosas in that photo? Your samosas are filled with potato, not chana, yet almost everything in the container is chana with very little potato filling or samosa pastry. Iโ€™m not asking for another free samosa or another order. I just donโ€™t understand why itโ€™s so difficult to acknowledge that a mistake could have been made. If that photo genuinely represents 2 full samosas crushed into the chaat, then thatโ€™s concerning in itself because it certainly doesnโ€™t match what is advertised. I would have appreciated acknowledgment of th

Got the chicken korma. Lacked the richness and texture I achieve at home for dish. I'm Hungarian. Bulk of korma menu item white rice with cumin seeds. 4/5ths. Prices wildly elevated for quality, taste, quantity, and locality.

Great good I really enjoyed their butter chicken and garlic naan. The staff was really helpful and offered to explain their menu. They made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Good price for a specialty restaurant. Portions are large. I would definitely go again.

Delicious! Old world taste meets small town place. I got out of my comfort zone and decided to sit and eat at Amber Indian in downtown Wilkes Barre. I ordered the Chicken Mushroom with Garlic Naan. The waiter sat me by the window and I got to admire the European Influenced Church Tower and passing bystanders. It made for an excellent atmosphere as I reflected on my personal experiences this week and enjoyed my dish. For desert I ordered the carrot pudding. The best part was the service. Both waiters were friendly and believe it or not I almost left my credit card. They ran outside to return it to me. I was very grateful. Excellent dining experience.
